About Me

I'm a Commerce Cloud Success Architect at Salesforce, based in Chicago. My team gets the Signature Success cases that are too complex or too risky for a standard support case: a checkout that has slowed down, a storefront under bot attack, a big architecture decision before a migration.

I've worked on Salesforce B2C Commerce since 2020, first as a developer, then as a tech lead, now as an architect. Most of my work for the U.S. retailers that run on it comes down to four things:

Security: stopping bots and scrapers at the CDN with firewall, rate-limit and bot rules, and keeping payments and checkout safe.
Performance: finding the code that slows a page down, ranking the fixes, and checking speed on every release so a slowdown never reaches shoppers.
Headless: moving live stores from SFRA to PWA Kit and Storefront Next in small, reversible steps, so the store keeps taking orders the whole time.
AI readiness: getting product data, feeds and crawler access right, so AI shopping assistants show a retailer's products correctly.

Many retailers share the same platform, so a fix that works for one usually helps the next. This blog is where I write those fixes up for other developers and architects, and I answer questions in the Unofficial SFCC Slack community. Next on my list: the CISSP exam.

- Main technical lead on U.S. retail projects: owned estimates, architecture, release plans and code quality, and mentored developers through code reviews
- Led a national U.S. retailer's move from SFRA to a headless PWA Kit storefront, live in October 2024, with a phased cutover behind feature flags
- Supported the same retailer's CDN move from Yottaa to Akamai over Salesforce eCDN (Cloudflare)
- Upgraded a global athletic brand's Adyen payment integration in every region it sells in
- Built a CI pipeline that checks site performance on every release, and a job that moved saved payment cards between two Commerce Cloud environments
- Integrated Global-E cross-border checkout and upgraded Kount fraud screening
